Cherie received a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University. Additionally, Cherie has completed 40 hours in Adlerian Play Therapy training and 80 hours in Foster & Adoption Family Therapy. As an avid learner, Cherie is continuously studying therapeutic techniques and topics.

An eclectic approach is used, drawing from various techniques such as Adlerian, Strength Based, Experiential, Trauma Informed, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and nonviolent communication. She works to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all. Offering compassion, highlighting your values, and empowering you to live your best life are part of the therapeutic process when working with Cherie.
Dancing, music, hiking, qigong, art, and spending time with her loved ones are the ways Cherie stays active and connected.
