Carolyn Bloye Psy. D
In August of 2014, I completed my Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at George Fox University. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University (2006), a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University (2009), and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University (2011). I have received training in various environments including Community Mental Health, Eating Disorder Treatment, and University and Community College settings.
I believe the foundation of therapeutic work lies in the relationship between the therapist and client. I primarily use a person-centered and interpersonal approach to therapy. This includes a focus on client identity development and how the individual functions within their world. I strive to cultivate an atmosphere of non-judgment, safety, and collaboration for all my clients in order to facilitate change and healing. Some potential areas of focus are improving your relationships, processing and understand your emotions, gaining insight, improving relaxation, gaining power and meaning from trauma, and increasing healthy behaviors and coping skills.
I enjoy reading, cooking, travel, and spending time with family.
