Angie Cruz LMHC
Angie joined Western Psychology in 2015. She brings 10 years of experience working within the mental health/social services field, working within inpatient, outpatient, community-based, and collegiate settings. She has worked with diverse ethnic populations from age 3 and up, and has extensive experience as a clinician, supervisor and administrator. She is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Counselor and earned her Master's Degree in Expressive Therapies and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Angie's counseling approach integrates the Expressive Therapies which utilizes various modalities including: art, movement, music, psychodrama, Sandtray and Bibliotherapy. She also incorporates CBT, DBT, and traditional psychodynamic and person-centered orientations through a mindfulness based approach. Angie believes in fostering a warm and safe environment, where individuals, couples and families can experience a positive therapeutic alliance and feel empowered to grow and heal.
I am very vested within the SW Washington community. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, being out in nature, reading and being involved in the arts.
