Alex Bloom PsyD
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University. Licensed psychologist in 2013. Dr. Bloom has worked in community-based agencies for several years now, focusing on both adult and older adult populations.
His experience is particularly in using short-term, evidence-based techniques that are meant to reduce symptoms.
Dr. Bloom provides individual therapy in addition to a wide-array of groups. While not a primary focus, he also has experience with both couples and family therapy.
Dr. Bloom comes from primarily a Cognitive-Behavioral standpoint but also incorporates skill-building techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy. This includes extensive experience with mindfulness approaches in particular. His ultimate goal in therapy is to make the experience collaborative and welcoming; thus, tailoring treatment to the client is the most important aspect.
Dr. Bloom enjoys running, hiking, photography, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
