Alex Bistroi LPC, CADC I
Alex holds a Masters of Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon. He also holds an addictions counselor certificate (CADC-I). Much of his post-graduate work included providing individual counseling, family counseling, and group counseling for trauma survivors, children and families, and adults struggling with addiction issues. He has over a decade experience working for various social service agencies including crisis centers, residential addiction treatment centers, outpatient, and family therapy program settings.
Individual counseling for adults (18-65). Couples counseling.
Alex believes all people strive for meaning, security, and relationship. As a counselor, he supports clients in cultivating an inner sense of balance, expanding self-awareness, and exploring healthy ways of being with others. He incorporates Strategic Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy frameworks to help individuals make behavioral and emotional changes aimed towards authentic self-discovery and meaningful relationships.
Alex enjoys listening to music, photography, reading fiction, watching sports, walking and hiking with his dog, and spending time with friends.
