Theoretical Orientation
I believe in trying to make this world we live in a more human place. My dream is to live in a world where each person feels seen, understood and celebrated. For me as a counselor this means I work to demystify the counseling process and make it transparent, understandable and safe. I believe everyone has a desire to live their best life and I start from this assumption as I seek to help people to avoid feeling judged or blamed and instead seek a fuller understanding of what's getting in their way. I use a person-centered approach as well as collaborative problem solving and cognitive behavioral therapy to help gain insight, build empowerment, and find solutions.
