Individuals, Family, Skills Groups, and Couples
Dr. Rabon approaches clinical cases from an integrative theoretical approach, which consists mainly of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic frameworks. She strives to take in the big picture of each individual by taking into account the precipitating factors that have brought the clients into treatment. Through assessment and exploration she determines the client's individual strengths and weaknesses, allowing her to tailor each therapy experience. Next she assess the relational patterns that have developed and shaped the lives of the client. In the context of the family of origin and in other significant relationships, people have learned to respond in certain patterns. Her openness to other theoretical orientations allows her to approach cases from more than one perspective. She finds that different aspects from multiple theoretical orientations can often be used together to provide a more effective therapy experience and treatment plan.
