Education
I was trained at the University of Oregon, Couples and Family Therapy Program. I have worked in a community-based therapy treatment setting for emotionally and behaviorally disturbed young children. My graduate practicum training included outpatient treatment working with adults and families with a wide range of presenting problems. I have extensive experience and training treating clients with trauma history.
Services Offered
My practice focuses on servicing kids and families, but I also extend therapeutic services to adults. I am trained to conduct therapy in a family setting (i.e. two or more family members in the room) but have experience working therapeutically with individuals as well.
Theoretical Orientation
I take a systemic approach in working with kids and families. I also rely on a strength-based model for assessing and treating my clients. I utilize clinically proven therapeutic methods to help conduct the course of treatment, but I believe in a client-centered approach in helping to dictate goals, set the pace of therapy, and help determine achieved progress.
