Western Is Recipient of the Lambert Award from Pacificare
Western Psychological and Counseling Services is contracted with PacifiCare Behavioral Health as the only Preferred Group Practice in the State of Oregon and SW Washington.
PacifiCare Behavioral Health (PBH) has recognized Western Psychological and Counseling Services {Western} for the third Year in a row with the Lambert Award.
The PacifiCare Behavioral Health Lambert Award recognizes clinicians and multi-specialty practice groups in the national PBH network who demonstrate superior therapeutic outcomes for PBH members.
The Lambert Award is named in honor of Michael Lambert, Ph.D., for his landmark work in the area of psychotherapy outcomes research.
This year’s winners include 10 multi-specialty Practice groups in California, Colorado, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, Texas and Pennsylvania. Western is the only multi-specialty practice group in the Northwest to receive the award. All demonstrated superior clinical results with PBH members, based on the company’s unique and proprietary outcomes management system called ALERT (Algorithms for Effective reporting and treatment).
More than 10,000 individual clinicians and 100 group practices submitted ALERT patient surveys in 2004 for more than 200,000 patients.

The Lambert Award is our way of publicly recognizing those who not only champion the value of measuring clinical progress, but also have achieved superior clinical results with their patients, said Edward Jones, Ph.D. vice president of clinical operations for PBH and director of the ALERT program. “ALERT is available to all clinicians and group practices in our network today, and our goal is to have everyone in our network use this tool.”
Western appreciated receiving the Lambert Award from PBH. The Lambert Award is recognition from PBH that the Western therapists are committed to providing quality treatment to the clients. It is the mission of Western to assist each client meet his or her therapeutic goals in a caring and supportive manner. The Lambert Award confirms that the Western therapists are achieving positive results with the clients served. Immediate LSQ feedback helps us identify problems high-risk issues and serve patient distress. It also provides ongoing insight into patient improvement.
